The security and protection of both our existing and our continuously
updated data is one of the most important factors in IT.
Failures in storage systems can be guarded against with RAID arrays and
other fault-tolerant storage solutions and redundant components; damage
from natural events and other forms of data loss (e.g. deliberate or
accidental deletion) can be prevented or minimized with regular backups
and archiving.
Beyond backups, it’s important to properly control access rights to
shared data, and to protect users’ sensitive data if a storage device
is stolen, lost, or sent for repair or servicing.
Services we offer our partners
- Backup & archiving - designing the right backup and archiving strategy and the supporting infrastructure. Depending on the volume and priority of the data, we define the backup type (full, differential, incremental, or a combination), frequency, retention, the storage media needed, and how completed backups and archives should be stored. We also run periodic test restores to verify the backup system.
- Central email archiving - a central archiving solution for company email, giving users fast, easy retrieval and restoration of messages. It can optimize storage costs, support comprehensive search criteria, and help meet legally required retention and archiving obligations.
- System-level backup of workstations and servers - a “snapshot” of a machine’s system partition, letting you restore a known-working state within minutes and minimizing downtime from a failure.
- Antivirus protection, spam filtering - keeping workstations and the network free of viruses and other malware and unsolicited email, including server-side filtering. As an official reseller, our company recommends the multiple award-winning NOD32 antivirus.
- Firewalls, intrusion protection - designing and implementing intrusion protection for internet-facing computers and servers, and protecting local networks from external and internal unauthorized access attempts.
- Virtual private network (VPN) - a secure connection between computers and/or computer networks over a public network (the internet). Typical uses include laptop or remote users connecting to a company’s internal network, or secure connections between a company’s remote sites.
- User groups, access levels - defining user and group permissions, organizing users into groups by access level, and configuring access to data and services.
- Data encryption - protecting data with keys or passphrases using strong encryption algorithms. This ensures that if a storage device (e.g. laptop, USB drive, DVD) is lost or stolen, the data doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.
